Much is said about the importance of using data intelligence in various segments. Despite the massification of this concept in business, it is still little applied, especially in Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs), even with the growing offer of new technologies and tools.
According to Forrester data, between 60% and 73% of the information that companies have in their systems is not used in their data analysis.
However, data-driven companies vastly outperform their peers on several financial measures, achieving 70% more revenue per employee and generating 22% more profits, according to the Capgemini Research Institute report entitled “The data-powered enterprise: Why organizations must strengthen their data mastery”.

The General Law for Data Protection (LGPD) has been responsible for a number of changes in companies, and one of them is certainly the data economy. The first major change that we should see is with regard to mapping all company data.

Prior to the LGPD there was no scaled concern for the amount of data generated, let alone the governance of that data. It is very common to see different areas of the company requesting information from a customer/supplier that is already in their database. This lack of control is what makes organizations so vulnerable to fraud and also directly influences the cost of storing, integrating, and managing this data.

And this cost of information can be measured when we evaluate the total investments that companies need to make in acquiring new technologies, hiring storage servers, among other relevant assets to meet the requirements of the law.

Sometimes the only way to get the information you need is to program a solution or use a different tool. In these situations, the ability to extend or integrate the monitoring package to work with other software is critical.”
