“No matter what your monitoring system does or fails to do, the ability to extend or integrate it with other systems can eventually mean the difference between having to replace it and preserving all the time you’ve invested in it. Although many monitoring systems are very good at what they do, they cannot be good at everything. Sometimes the only way to get the information you need is to program a solution or use a different tool. In these situations, the ability to extend or integrate the monitoring package to work with other software is critical.”
