4 de January de 2021The General Law for Data Protection (LGPD) has been responsible for a number of changes in companies, and one of them is certainly the data economy. The first major change that we should see is with regard to mapping all company data.
Prior to the LGPD there was no scaled concern for the amount of data generated, let alone the governance of that data. It is very common to see different areas of the company requesting information from a customer/supplier that is already in their database. This lack of control is what makes organizations so vulnerable to fraud and also directly influences the cost of storing, integrating, and managing this data.
And this cost of information can be measured when we evaluate the total investments that companies need to make in acquiring new technologies, hiring storage servers, among other relevant assets to meet the requirements of the law.
